Islam is one of the fastest growing religions in the world. At present, the United States is home to 3 million to 4 million Muslims. Islam has attracted and transformed the lives of activists, rappers, politicians, artists, athletes, academics, and even scores of students in the Midwest. However, even with the number of Americans converting to Islam increasing exponentially each year, Islam still remains shrouded in mystery.

With all of the misunderstanding that revolves around this belief, why are so many people accepting its way of life? What answers does Islam hold for the many cultures and ethnicities that kneel for prayer five times a day saying: “God is Great; God is One”? The answer may lie in its ability to bring about balance.
